Its true. Broncos are doing a press conference tomorrow to make the announcement.

 

Is there really even any value in the NFL jersey number system anymore? Lineman routinely report eligible, TE's play as lineman all the time, and there's so many formations that use non-OL to function as "people on the line" that it feels silly.

Doubly so for defense where, as far as I know, there's no rule requirements where you need jersey #'s to identify anything.

 

NFL did it to market QB's easier. At this point I can't see a QB taking 28 or something even given the choice.

I still maintain that the Dolphins team with Thomas / Surtain / Madison / Taylor deserves a Super Bowl and more recognition than it got.
