Kick DeShaun out of the league. Infuriating that really the only times all 32 teams seemed to agree to keep a player of notable talent out of the league were Ray Rice and Kap (obviously neither were close to DeShaun’s level of production but if the Rice video never surfaced and Kap never kneeled they’d both have been in the league another few years)

 

One of the frustrating things to me about the Watson situation (outside of the glaringly obvious) is people who were/are going “but he donated a game check to a family that lost their house in the flood! He wouldn’t do this!” as if A) that has any connection to what the lawsuits are about and B) a person can be a horrible human being and yes do something positive every once and awhile. Like, no one is 100% good or 100% bad all the time with what people know or see. That shit doesn’t even happen in cartoons with someone always being the bad guy so why people think real life would be different idk.

 

I just don't get why a professional athlete who wanted to get laid wouldn't just pay a sex worker consensually, that money would be nothing to him. Probably costs less than the damn massage. He's not just "horny beyond repair." He deliberately made choices to harass people in a way that made them feel cornered and degraded at their own professional jobs.

Yeah I just don't like that the narrative was phrased like, he's "horny beyond repair". He's definitely a predator.

There are plenty options / recourse, even for sex addicts, that don't involve non-consensual situations. If you make that much damn money you can hire a professional whose whole occupation is having sex and being really good at it. It's clearly not about just sex.

 

As a fan of the guy prior to all this I certainly feel ashamed thinking he was pretty much perfect basically only based on what we as fans see publicly

he’s the one guy I just couldn’t have imagined doing stuff like this, and it made me really reevaluate my thinking and how little we know these players outside of public perception

 

Farley's just a tough prospect to settle in on. He would be easy top 15 pick if not for the long list of injuries.

And these two things go hand and hand. Not to go all Criminal Minds, but the idea you can seem normal and pillar of the community on the outside, and be doing fucked up things, is exactly what does it for that type of person. Part of how you control 20+ people you've abused is being a high profile figure with power over them.
