Yeah Darnold still has value just on the basis that he's 23 and has NFL experience.

Jets should and will get something for him.

 

Season is so far away, who knows...but right now I'd say its looking unlikely

Because they are both on contracts, Darnold without question by a laughable margin. Darnold costs a team $920k versus Jimmy G's $24mil (and $7.5mil guaranteed in 2022 if he gets hurt...which historically is gonna happen).

But if I thought either might actually play multiple games that matter for my team, Jimmy G without question by an equally laughable margin. Sam Darnolds best season isnt even replacement level QB, and he's missing 25% of the games. Its only because he's young and was a 1st round pick that people are even entertaining the trade. The season Carson Wentz just had, that people are saying he's washed up because, is Darnold's normal season.

 

The city of Philadelphia will burn down if the Eagles trade for Darnold.

 

Philly has Jalen Hurts and Joe Flacco at QB.

The 12th pick isn’t getting you a QB.

Trading a third round pick for Sam Darnold to see if anything is left is essentially a risk-free move.

 

Oh I totally get that, but I'd rather see what I have in Hurts at this rate considering we wasted a 2nd rd pick on him. I don't know giving up a 3rd for Sam is a bit high for my liking.

 

It's wild to me that the Eagles wanted Zach Wilson even though they drafted Hurts. If Fields dropped to 12 I could totally see the Eagles pulling the trigger.

 

The first four picks are going to be QBs.

Philly is not getting a QB at 12.

I’m arguing with someone who is convinced the 49ers made that trade because they were so wowed with Zach Wilson’s pro day and they’re going to get him.

 

i should've screenshotted it but at one point last night Trey Lance, Justin Fields, and Mac Jones were all trending for the same reason and it was hilarious.

 

In today's edition of Dolphins fans are the dumbest - someone is trying to convince me that Patrick Surtain is the dolphins pick and if he's not there then Asante Samuel at 36.

 

Pittsburgh should 100% trade for Darnold. At worst, he's a step-up from a Mason Rudolph level back-up.

This, considering the Tannehill stuff, is entirely possible. But Tannehill still had a few high quality seasons before Gase that showed he had something. Though my god, does any QB play a whole season under Gase? Tannehill played 12, 11, 12, and Darnold played 13 and 12.

 

With how everything is shaping up in the draft I’d much rather trade a 3rd for Darnold than a haul of picks for #4.
