Is the Laremy Tunsil trade the greatest trade in history? lol

Lmao you should be flattered by this. We are so afraid of the Patriots we called a week 3 win in a losing season “like the Super Bowl”. All that does is show how pathetic it is that we know nothing about being competitive lol

Alright fine Bledsoe was a little better, but if you think the gap was wide you’re either overrating Bledsoe or underrating Brunell.

Brunell wasn’t a top 10 QB, but most of the time neither was Bledsoe. Bledsoe had higher highs and bigger production but Brunell’s numbers were actually very efficient for the era, a 2/1 TD/INT ratio was not nearly as common back then.

love this lol. My favorite part of this whole process is the players are legitimately excited as fuck about being on a team that’s gonna start with Meyer and Lawrence. Hell yeah. I want a team people are excited to play for. Hopefully that’s not just fools gold and we see some early results, I’d settle for a 7-8 win season

This is why you get the Jags Justin Fields jokes. Because even admitting you're wrong comes with a dissertation on why you're not thaaaaaaat wrong haha

Because you acted like Bledsoe was leagues above Brunell and I still disagree with your dismissive assessment of Brunell. Even in the midst of me trying to say he was overrated haha

see here’s the thing, I’m willing to concede individual points, you often are not and are very all or nothing about what you do and don’t believe. So you take me agreeing with some parts of an argument and disagreeing with others as “oh he just doesn’t want to admit that he’s WRONG”.

Just because I allowed for points you made that I agreed with doesn’t mean I have to agree with the overall sentiment, and just because you really can’t fathom my opinion doesn’t mean yours is completely right and mine is completely wrong

my point is you guys jump to “wrong” way too quickly because you wanna be right and have the upper hand in the discussion.

I said yes, Bledsoe > Brunell, but not nearly as much as he acted like. Perfectly logical. I admitted I was too bullish but that I don’t think the gap is that wide.

or maybe you were just wrong and it has nothing to do with having the upper hand or whatever haha.

Or, maybe half the time you say “wrong” it’s actually not even a cut and dry topic like that

Lol I assure you Randall, I do not particularly care about having the upper hand in any convo here. I just like making fun of Brunell for crying on tv, and idolizing Drew because he was my first QB.

You do exactly the same thing. Everyone does. In a half objective, half subjective conversation like many sports debates are, it’s natural to trust your opinion enough to clarify certain things you firmly believe. You have tons of convictions that you NEVER budge on. It’s called the anchoring and adjustment heuristic, it’s a natural human behavior and why we are all inclined to believe we arent wrong until proven wrong.

being directly wrong would be, saying Brunell put up more productive numbers than Bledsoe. He didn’t. But to say Brunell and Bledsoe were roughly in the same tier of talent / overall impact to their teams is a different claim entirely. And I’m not just being defiant to say Bledsoe had better numbers and won a Super Bowl, but Brunell’s high efficiency and mobility had us beat a lot of elite teams in the playoffs as well.

I mean, especially considering the trade for #6 where they can still get Smith/Chase/Waddle of their choosing, yeah, this is a bigger win that Watson.

Cause they can find out immediately if Tua is good, and if he's not, they still have a fuck ton of ammo to get anyone next year.

Yeah, its obviously a QB and I suspect they like Lawrence, Wilson, and one of Fields/Lance, which makes it a guaranteed win. And all they are hoping for is a team to be dumb enough to not take Lawrence or something.

But it would be HILARIOUS if it was for Sewell
