I’m not sure what you mean about there being so much grey area. There are enough women and corroboration already to make a fair conclusion. There’s no reason to call these women liars.

Oh dont get me wrong, i completely agree - but just, following this story from the start and with how this lawyer has carried on, it just seems like theres already more victim blaming or straight up accusations of lying already than there normally would be.

Yeah the lawyer is definitely a hypocritical clown and unfortunately it does raise some skepticism with his motives, I just thought you meant there was grey area in whether the claims themselves seemed credible. I think it’s not that unusual for shady clout chasing lawyers to be the ones bold enough to get in on a claim like this early when the accused is so popular, and I imagine he probably got a little “lucky” (lucky is definitely the wrong word) that Watson appears to have had an MO with taking advantage of many women in the same manner.
I will say to your point this particular lawyer is so ridiculous that there is a slight part of me that thinks maybe he’s crazy and stupid enough to manufacture something like this but that would be insane and he would never get away with it.

I'd rather believe women who say they were assaulted and be proven wrong, than suspend opinion until I know more and not show the support more women need to see so they speak out if they are assaulted.

I’m sure idiots online have and will point to 22 cases being brought forward all seemingly at the same time. They’ll say that’s way too many and how did the lawyer find all these people so soon and blah blah blah.

And if there was only one person then they’d be saying she must be wrong or want money or misread the situation or been hired by the team or who know what.

No matter how many or how few people, there will always be people like Roddy fucking White that just don’t get it or refuse to accept it.

and the Houston PD saying they have no open cases or been contact by this Bugzabee lawyer when 12 hours earlier he said he’s been in contact with them isn’t going to help anything.

As a PR rollout, yeah, the lawyer has been really, really bad at this. If he had 4 people up front, drop all 4 cases at once because it hits a lot harder than the slow trickling of details here. But inevitably, since there were 4 to start, there were going to be more coming in that were going to be a lot murkier until he investigates and writes up their cases...and truthfully they're likely to be even more damning.

If it was just the first 4 and a couple flamed out to nothing, I could see the early conspiracy that Buzbee was trying to smear Watson. But, truth is Buzbee and Hardin are exactly the two kind of lawyers that end up in these types of cases. Like if we're gonna talk Buzbee, lets talk Deshaun's lawyer and the absolute shittiest humans he's represented (Clemens for perjury to congress, AP for child abuse, he's literally the dude that defended accountants for Enron)

Nah, Im gonna guess its a big department, he got contacted by one officer or media liason, and it hasnt been passed up the chain yet.

ESPN had a pretty good run down; not vivid details or anything, but the cases and process and such: Lawyer: Now will be 12 lawsuits against Watson

This is what Harvey Weinstein and Bill Cosby are asking themselves right now when it was like 1-2 public allegations and a lot of back room murmur, and then suddenly, wham.

Its really sad too that some people automatically assume these women are out for money

If they actually read the Summary of Lawsuit they seek minimal compensatory damages and want to prevent further similar conduct

A lot of these victims of powerful men want money, but not just money. Often the victim thinks the powerful assailant is going to be above the law or use connections to get around punishment. I'm sure any of these women would prefer to have not been assaulted instead of the money.
