All the wrs are similar, they’re all waiting around for each other to sign.

 

I had a virtual zoom date that went well on Monday and we’re meeting up social distanced on Sunday

wish me luck fellas, we def hit it off in the vid chat. I think she’s really cool and her passions inspire me.

 

How does one socially distance a date?

 

Grab takeout food with a mask and go to a nearby park to eat it.

DC has been really good about COVID restrictions also. For example my favorite record store requires hand sanitizer and gloves at the door and only lets 5 people in at a time.

 

Go for a walk or a hike?

 

this too. She likes biking and hiking which is great for me, and as we discussed it we’re pretty much on the same level - casual hikers, more committed bikers but both of our longest rides / limits were about 40-45 miles

This is how my best friend met his girlfriend during the pandemic. Worked out really well. They did the zoom thing and also met at a park lol.

Has anyone gotten into a serious relationship during the pandemic? Do you just get tested and quarantine a bunch?

I mean eventually you should be able to trust that person to take all the same precautions you’re taking haha.

Fortunately for me I used to have asthma so a vaccine is right around the corner. (But I will still be masking up and avoiding crowds. Stop the spread continues even after the vaccine)

 

You still haven’t gotten it? I feel like a lot of my friends who have no health issues have already gotten theirs, hope you can get yours soon

I think COVID has really opened my eyes to like, how many people are deal-breaker dumb about things like that. My dating standards have raised a lot during this pandemic because I’ve seen so many women in Atlanta and Jax I was at least casually interested in (plus old friends) behave selfishly and ignorantly this entire past year.

I would not want to date anyone who lives in a dumb ass state like Georgia and Florida and actually trusts or goes along with their terrible state politicians when they refuse to pass mask laws , or when they open up business during a pandemic. I realized I only want to be around people with conviction regardless of what’s “legal” or “socially acceptable” in their local society. So many people have zero spine to do what’s actually right and use any soft excuse to do what they wanna do
