I literally either am okay with or really like all those moves. I put a star next to the ones I really liked. Only move I didn’t like was resigning Duwane Smoot.

Couple of these were definitely overpays but that literally matters 0% for a team with this much cap space and this empty of a roster... we are so far from cap trouble all these guys will be paid in full by the time that margin gets slim.

 

I don't think Ward is starting

 

We don’t really have anyone else to play that role. If we draft somebody then maybe but right now we probably need to prioritize nose tackle in the draft. Not sure Davon Hamilton is beefy enough to do that in a 3-4 (he might be, though!)

 

Hamilton and Costin are both gonna compete for a starting role. Definitely need to prioritize nose tackle.

 

i personally see DaVon Hamilton as a guy who might be a casualty of switching from 4-3 to 3-4. He’s a better fit at 1 tech or 3 tech than he is at 0 tech or 5 tech

 

We’re fortunate that Chaisson and Allen are scheme versatile linemen who would probably be even better as 3-4 OLBs than 4-3 DEs.... but I don’t have that same confidence that Hamilton is
