Youd be reaching. There’s clever teams in MLB the way the Ravens or Pats are value hogs...but no NFL team can spend 20% another team and guarantee 0-16 the way a Marlins will.

Prior to the 97% cap and 89% cash rules, I’d 100% agree.

But an uncapped NFL would SUCK. Nobody would willingly play for a Jags or BEngals and every division would have at least one locked in 4-12 team because of it.

I think one thing an uncapped NFL would do is encourage players to take shorter deals and might take away a Pats-like dynasty...so it might increase parity there

They’ll end up fine...because they are gonna go a year without paying starting QB money.

I’m still not sure how they’ll keep all 3 of Ramcyk/Lattimore/Williams either

  3. Oh I’m not advocating for an uncapped league. I’m just acknowledging what it really is haha

Does this mean that the Saints are rolling with Hill as the starting QB? (At least 55% starting QB?)

Lawson must not be familiar with Lovie Smith.

    The rivalry is back on

the flip side of this is that we collectively do a lot of whining about teams going out of their ways to “break” the rules to pay players more than is permitted to pay

    Lawson is fine

didn't really notice him much last season aside from the fumble return TD Against ARZ

Wild shot: Seattle goes after him to try and make Wilson happy (neglecting that he gets killed because of no o-line not because of no offensive weapons)

but Juju and DK would be fun

Thats my sense; essentially what they did when Brees was out...Hill as the starter, Jameis as backup/insurance. Which is a hilarious thought to me.

But you dont even pretend to offer a dude void years at 4/140 unless he is the starter.

  18. Didn't Russ specifically say he was mad because he was tired of getting hit so much?

  20. Russ is so good there's no point in having 3 awesome receivers lol get him a line

For the record, I’m all in on getting Russ an offensive line. But going after a receiver is the wild, random ass move that would be more fitting of Seattle

just draft him one with your first round pick

Counterpoint: Ben had jack shit for a line this year and only took 13 sacks...largely because the team had 4 viable receivers on every play and all he had to do was read which was in single coverage and throw.

Ben used to take the 40-50 sacks of Russ...they were (athletically) different sacks...but same idea, extending a play way too long and never throwing it away

    wait shit

okay draft him one with next year's first round pick

Tbf juju is probably a better blocker than their worst starting offensive lineman
