As someone who absolutely loathes the Seahawks, I’d love for them to keep Wilson and swim in mediocrity for the next 5-10 years. Their fans are so delusional they’ll think they have a chance, but they will be winning 7-10 games every year lol.

the team needs a better coach and needs to focus on the right areas to be an elite team again.

It took the Seahawks 36 years to find a franchise QB - it'd be irresponsible to cut ties with him at this juncture of his contract.

Since 2012, the Seahawks have gone 11-5, 13-3, 12-4, 10-6, 10-5-1, 9-7, 10-6, 11-5, and 12-4 and those years include 1 Super Bowl win and 1 Super Bowl loss. What does it take for you guys to be satisfied with a team’s performance? A solid rebuild brings them back to the low end of that level of success in 3-4 years.

IMO, the only justifiable reason to trade Russ would be if he literally forces it and, even then, it’s a massive organizational failure that you can hopefully recoup as much as possible for it to not be a full on disaster

 

Even the Packers had two back to back losing seasons and they got a new coach made some good/great signings and picks and have gone 26-6

Seattle could easily replicate that

 

Yeah, for me the #1 reason to trade him would be him demanding it and making it clear he wants out. The other stuff mentioned are reasons that make it semi-understandable.

 

rodgers didn't ask for a trade. that's a pretty key issue here.

 

sure but I mean if the Packers didn't move on from McCarthy who knows maybe he would have - the Packers changed the culture just before that could have happened and that's what Seattle needs to do.

 

I agree, but I don't think Seattle will do that unfortunately. We've seen star players leaving there a few times previously due to some kind of issue with management and culture. And they have consistently chosen to let said players go.

PFF ranking Furgeson over Bowser and Judon is pretty laughable. Ferguson made some splash plays last year but overall a below average OLB.
