He's one of those guys that came into the year super hyped and then people just stopped talking about him. Usually theres like criticism or something that drives the hype away but for all I can tell people just got bored or something. Idk. I like him and think he's probably gone in the early 20s.

Window is probably closed for that team without a bunch of luck, and if he's unhappy it's a good 'excuse' to pin the trade on him and jumpstart your rebuild and reset your timeline.

I feel like the Seahawks are in a similar spot as the Saints were around 2016 and entering 2017. A roster that is not that great overall, cap troubles, and a QB entering the backend of his career. But there are two huge differences when you look on from there. One, the Saints had one of the best draft classes ever in 2017 (Seattle has no first or third round pick). Two, the Saints had a happy QB (Seattle, apparently, has the opposite).

I think it'd be very difficult to continue treading water with the combination of: disgruntled/aging QB, cap trouble, poor draft assets. TBH, Russ saying he potentially wants out makes decisions easier for them. They now have the opportunity for the tough restart without being completely blamed by the fans. Also, it seems like a pretty good year to be drafting a QB.

I've gotten to the point where if we don't get Watson, I'm good with any of the top 5 QBs at #8. If we trade up, that's when I'll start playing favorites or whatever. But I just think it's such a crapshoot picking QBs. If we can get one of them without trading up I can't complain.
