I’m sure they will still explore other options. And I’d assume if they find a better option they can dump Cam and not take much of a hit. They have a ton of cap space.

I just hate the move because it’s like “why even bother exploring other options.” They’re not even going to Lance’s pro day. So even if Cam is just “meh” instead of Bad, we’re still just another team and right back in the QB market next year.

 

They don’t need to go to lances pro day, they know he won’t fall to them anyway. They’re kind of stuck in winning too many games to draft a good qb and no elite qb demanding to be traded there.

 

I think I trust BB. Maybe he only likes Wilson / Fields / Lawrence and knows those guys aren't available then they pick, or he likes a developmental guy and thinks he can get him later on.
