I'm 5 beers deep and a shot of whiskey and have been working all day. 8:30 to 5ish then took a two hour break then 7pm to now. Still have 232 emails to get through. My wife is making a hell of a lot of noise downstairs for some reason. The dog is whining. @Randall Mentzos you still watching my dog???

Tomorrow is day three of me not knowing what the hell in doing in my new position

 

this sounds like me lately. We’re getting ready for a new website launch and I apparently now possess the skills to be an engineer, copywriter, file document master uploader, content reviewer and product management and dimensions expert! Our IT group told me that for literally three straight weeks in May I’ll be needed to review and run tests on the new site and need to devote 100% of my time to that project then, which means working 6-11ish every night on regular work while 8-5 is for the website bullshit.

I started drinking at 9 this morning to take the edge off since major due dates are 3/18 and some of these projects we just started last Thursday because the “master” files were incorrect. I have to take sleeping pills most nights to just try and get to bed for a few hours and rest my brain before it all starts again lol. I used to keep my unread emails under 20 most days. Sitting at 205 when I logged off at 9:45 and it’s driving me berserk.

happy to have a job with great pay during tough times, but man oh man it never ends. On top of my last few classes, things are crazy and there’s not a lot of breathing room.

 

Should we be concerned about the alcohol and sleeping pills????

 

I've gained a decent amount of weight over the last year due to working at home and drinking more. Everyday i think ah no beer for me today then it's a shit day and I'm like yep gimme five beers please
