Holy fucking shit, $75mil in year 1. Im trying to imagine what that even looks like. $66mil to sign reads like a big roster bonus + some signing bonus

What Dallas loosely offered last offseason, before paying him $31mil fully guaranteed for 5 games

Recently, they reportedly offered Prescott a contract which includes an average salary of $33 million with $105 million guaranteed.

So, rather than sign that, he got $52mil more guaranteed money on the same total length deal (Cowboys were only offering 5yr deals)

Fuck, now I wish the Steelers had gotten in on that. Only downside is if you have to cut him you owe $4.2mil, but, worth the risk if he can even become a swing tackle and seem to give a damn.

am I wrong or because Tennessee is trading him, they pay his guaranteed money and he can now be cut with no penalties?

you know more about this than most people do so I figured I'd ask

PS don't forget the Dolphins have Wilson's former teammate Solomon Kindley already too

    Not here. Isn't happening. Supporter

I’m not sure why you’d want your team to employ that Titans guy. Couldn’t he have opted out but he chose to play and be covid reckless like all year?

Nah, because rookie contracts are fully guaranteed, anything that is salary moves along. So his signing bonus accelerates (Titans take like $4.5mil dead cap), and the rest is now Miami's

    2021 $1,135,836
    2022 $1,661,672
    2023 $2,187,508

But like, the actual numbers are about what you'd be paying a 2nd/3rd rounder anyway, you still get a 5th year option if he pans out, and he wont flame out until after June 1 anyway Id bet, so absolute worst case scenario is he's a $1.135mil cap hit on you this year (and a $3.7mil dead cap in 2022). Also, I imagine if he no shows like he did in TEN, you can nullify his guarantees and cut him for nothing
