There are teams in the teens who could realistically want Fields. 49ers and Patriots especially. Panthers could move down 4-7 spots and still get some legit draft capital out of it.

I love Javonte and all but come on man. No one is Derrick Henry. Awkwardly tall, stocky 245 pound dudes don't run like that.

 

Why take Pitts in the Top 10 when you can get Brevin Jordan in the middle of the second round?

 

Titans bias aside, watching Henry juke out Jalen Ramsey and fuckin break his ankles in the process, the FIRST time (out of four times) he got 200+ yards and multiple TDs against us... is when I woke up and was like "fuck, Henry is gonna be elite for the next several years isn't he"

 

Someone might want a tight end that pretends like he’s going to block but just stands around more.

It's absolutely fair to criticize the OL. Moton will 100% be on the team. But we still have to find a way to fill the other spots. With that said, we need to address those spots regardless of the QB. So I don't think making the pick based on how the roster looks right now is very smart. They are a rebuilding team. If they like Jones' traits and make-up better, take him and build around him. And like we said before, he can sit a year behind Teddy if they really want that for him, which just gives them more time to fill out the line.

Derrick Henry is like the football version of Zion Williamson lol

 

Like, Deshaun Watson is an extremely good and athletic QB. What's been the criticism his entire career? His line stinks. He needs a better line. So just because someone can scramble, it doesn't erase a poor OL. Panthers have to address those needs either way.

 

Deshaun Watson quite literally compensated for that need and still brought the Texans to playoff competitiveness haha. That's part of the reason why I'm saying "shit if your offense is leaky maybe an elusive ass QB who can shock the defense with his improv skills is what you need for awhile."

 

I simultaneously don't love Fields as a prospect but also am very bullish on him being a good fit for certain teams (mind you, all teams that have very little chance of getting Wilson)

 

Yeah, I know lol but the OL is still what ultimately held that offense back, no? Like, I don't care who we draft, we better be making the line better too. That's all I'm saying.

but honestly, for your sake I'm hoping they trade down and draft Mac Jones. That would be awesome. Then it's almost like he was an extra pick and you still have the same ammunition to fill out the team.

 

Derrick Henry is the exact opposite of Zion Williamson

 

He's had Brandin Cooks, Robert Woods, Cooper Kupp, and their TE's always ahead of him in the pecking order; wouldnt be surprised if he's a pretty good WR2 for a team in 2021, especially on the fairly cheap deal I imagine he'll go for.

Not really?? A talented scorer who's heavy for his position, with elite power and size but somehow finesses people consistently in open space and has no wasted movement unlike other big scorers.
