They were 6th in yards allowed so technically yes, but they were 22nd in points allowed lol

 

By almost no reasonable metric did they have a top 10 defense haha

 

This type of stat just tells me the offense was terrible tbf

Panthers had a pretty good defense. 2nd in yards given up and like bottom half for points given up. It was a result of turnovers and countless 3 and outs from the offense.

Saves them $29mil total, yes, but most of it is 2023 savings. Though they have a solid handful of guys who are easy restrucutes that can save them $20+ mil in cap space.

But they also need to extend AJ Brown among a few other moves
