Eh, they don't really matter. Derrick Henry and Leonard Fournette were regarded as just average speed but pretty sure every year since they've been in the league one of them has had one of the fastest recorded speeds of the season.

That’s obviously a bad take lol

But I’ve noticed a lot of people saying Watson put up numbers “with absolutely nothing”. I think that’s a little ridiculous. He may not have had a true #1 guy but Brandin Cooks is pretty good. He’s been in the league 7 years and has five 1k yard seasons. One of the two non-1k years was he rookie season in which he only played 10 games. And then you have Will Fuller as the #2 which is a decent guy to have there as well. When he’s on the field he’s effective.

 

I'm not implying Watson should be happy with the situation there. I'm just saying people can go a little overboard when saying things like he had zero weapons. They weren't great but there were worse groups out there.

weapons is just about the only thing Watson had. And that’s if you don’t count the RB position as a “weapon”... Lamar Miller is the best RB he’s played with.

He JUST got a line because of Tunsil and Scharping but at the expense of Hopkins, when the team wasn’t even having cap problems? They didn’t need to choose one or the other lol they could’ve just had a complete offense for Watson for ONCE

the defense was already beginning to decline when Watson got to year two / got past ACL surgery as well. So now with the defense trash, the offense vanilla and relying on two undersized speed receivers, and the corpse of David Johnson carrying the ball I understand the point that he never received a thorough amount of support.

 

Yeah, all of that is fair and very clear reasons as to why Watson isn't happy. I just thought Cooks was getting a little disrespect lol

 

It’s interesting but I still hate research projects lol. I wish it was practical to finish it like this week so it’s not weighing on my mind all semester.

I find that I spend way more time reading sources and, fuckin, citing them than I spend actually writing the paper lol. Once the research is done the paper takes 2 hours max

 

This professor loves to mark off points for stupid as hell reasons too. Already frustrated trying to get an A in a class where the teacher seems to lean on preferences rather than rubrics

I’ll still get the A cause I’m a beast when my mind is set on something. But it just means putting more work in cause, now the bar has been raised... my new goal is to leave no stone unturned and leave no CHOICE but to give me an A. The professor better be ready for all these assignment clarification emails / office hours appointments

that competitive spirit, that tenacious persistence, REALLY is an asset when it comes to getting through these tedious classes.

 

The Texans passing game was good. Leading the league in yards good. They do have big play receivers but a big part of that was also the terrible defense Texans had and having to win shoot outs or playing from way behind. Can’t win many games like that.

darn I hope they flip up the home/away formula. If I’m reading this right, this means every potential added Atlanta/Indianapolis and Seattle/Indianapolis game will be in Indianapolis and those are literally the only two games I’d rather have on the road (for personal reasons)

 

King went on to say that it would alternate. AFC teams host odd numbered years, NFC teams host even numbered years. I'd suspect that rotates every 4 years or so since the current AFC-NFC schedule doesn't necessarily alternate hosting teams each time

Would have been nice if the aggregator included that in the screenshot lol

 

I thought the current AFC/NFC schedule does alternate host teams every time? For example, in 2020 Miami played the NFC West...they hosted the Rams and Seahawks but visited the Cardinals and Niners which is the opposite of what they did in 2016.

 

Honestly if they want another week of the regular season so bad they should just add a second bye. Still get an extra week of tv ratings and id assume the players would prefer that too.
