When you hit a mothafucka, you hit that mothafucka Prestigious

Now, Byron AND Vic (as DC) is something I could really get behind

  10. Saw that. No najee means list is trash.

  11. I don't get this. Why are those the only three choices. There are dozens and dozens of coaches out there. Stop recycling the same people.

    Prestigious

They interviewed a few other people but no one that’s getting hired by other teams now lol only dan quinn for some reason

  14. It's annoying organizations will hire people that have been recycled like five times and are content going 7-9 for 3-4 years instead of taking the chance of hiring an "unknown" and still either going 7-9 or you know maybe actually be good.

    This is how I feel

but then there will be blow back on those "unknown" candidates as well

I prefer the unknown because to me there is a higher variance there between "this may go super well and he's our coach for 10 years" and "this guy sucks terribly, should've known"

Like I bought in on an unknown in Culley before I saw how poorly his in-game management was

I still preferred that risk over, say, Leslie Frazier

    The rivalry is back on

I don’t know how I feel about it tbh

none of this batch of firings (which was about 1/4 of the league) were re-treads as far as I can remember besides Gruden under different circumstances than performance, and the team with the best point differential (Dallas) has a re-tread HC and DC, the favorite to win the Super Bowl (Kansas City) has a re-tread HC with a long track record of success, the GOAT technically falls into that category too, etc. Washington is probably the worst team with a has been coach but anecdotally, a worse leader might have that team in a wholly worse place than him keeping the pieces mostly together despite that dysfunction

the risk of bottoming out without bouncing back is real

    The rivalry is back on

ditto for coordinators being recycled when you have stories like Arians’ ascension from re-tread Pittsburgh OC who had fallen out of favor to Indianapolis OC doing new cool innovative things to Indy interim HC to being a successful HC in two locations

(I forgot that he too would technically be a re-tread with success in Tampa — and that means every HC to win a Super Bowl in the past decade besides Pederson and Harbaugh had previous HC experience before their winning tenure)
