Seattle is a great sports town. I admittedly was turned off of the Seahawks because I moved there in 2012 at the height of their run and the 12th man and Legion of Boom thing was so annoying.

Mariners games are hella fun, and cheap too. That's the one fandom I adopted when I moved there. Seahawks get all the fanfare, but that town is a baseball town at it's heart.

 

Always got a soft spot for the Mariners cause Griffery Jr is my favorite

 

Yeah all the Jags fans I follow that are close with Dilla are hype right now. It’s happening lol.

So now the Jags fans here claim to have the QB they want, and the HC they want.

When they win 4 games next year what do we blame? the air quality?

I’m seeing Leftwich and Lawrence through. Zero expectations, keeping my hopes reasonable - I just want to see my team and my new QB play some decent football and go from there. It’s not a specific number of wins I’m looking for, I literally just need to see some competence first before I start setting new expectations

However good Lawrence was in college doesn’t matter anymore, I’m no longer using that as a frame of reference for how good he should play. it’s a turnaround job now and I don’t expect a lot of wins right away. We are basically still starting from square one because Urban Meyer / multiple weapons getting injured held us back and stunted his development so much already

 

The roster is still pretty bad so I wouldn’t expect much year one anyway lol

 

The offense has so many question marks that COULD pan out. Walker Little played well for a rookie coming off an ACL tear and we might have a left tackle post-Cam Robinson… or we might not. DJ Chark, Travis Etienne, Jamal Agnew, all had major injuries, but if they come on strong that’s a lot of latent talent in there for Lawrence to throw to. Brandon Linder went down and is getting old but is still the de facto leader of the offensive line.

our offense in 2022 could either be a Madden 68 or an 82 lol. But I’ll say this, Trevor was *definitely* looking better before Chark, Linder and Agnew got hurt.

 

It makes me feel absolutely ancient having watched Leftwich play not that long ago and now he’s a HC in the NFL

 

Sean McVay is younger than me and he’s been a head coach for 5 years.
