Get rid of taunting calls too. My god the taunting calls. Should never be taunting called unless you literally see a player talking shit to a guy on the ground who’s clearly injured.

Like, Ndamukong Suh saying “GET THE CART” and almost starting a brawl all those years ago, THATS a taunting penalty. Outside of something that egregious it’s should never be called

I don’t get who the fuck decided you can’t boast a little bit, show a little swagger & showmanship for the crowd, play some mind games and get people to lose focus etc. I can’t think of a single reason for it other than racists being intimidated by black excellence and black assertiveness becoming arguably the most marketable part of America’s biggest sport, the same way as the NBA

Any amount of players can obviously still be traded after June 1st, but they just can't be designated as such before June 1st, which I believe is the date teams need to be under the cap by without being penalized

Eh, not sure I'd consider a perennial bottom 10 in attendance team...that does not travel to away games in any real numbers...to truly be "sticky". The fans who are fans are certainly passionate, but, if you were starting an NFL team, you would not put the JAX fanbase, in terms of size, etc, as a preferred choice.

Steelers, Packers, 49ers, Cowboys...hell, the WFT until the last few years...all had reliable fan bases that would show up regardless of the season. It took a truly spectacular series of fuckups over 15 years for Dan Snyder to lose that. But to get to that, you need a stretch of dominance where you'll pull in people from outside your city and also capture a LOT of your town.

I think LA is also a particularly tough market because its people are just god awful fans. They had the Kobe Bryant dynasty...really the only thing I can imagine on the level of Jordan-dominance...and they'd still be trickling into playoff games in the 2nd quarter.

Rams could win the SB this year and next year, and start 8-0 the following year and still have a 50/50 stadium.

edit: I think the Patriots and Saints are probably decent examples of the kind of sustained success it takes to make a team sticky.
