New Orleans is my favorite city ive ever visited. Eli Apple is my least favorite Apple easily.

 

Best city is probably Seattle for me.

 

First time in New Orleans I was 21 and went too far in the Bourbon Street/Harrah's side of it. Didn't love it. Second time was a few years later and we did some architectural and mausoleum tours and spent more time learning about the city and I loved it.

the neighborhood of East Nashville/Five Points is one of my favorite places i've been to. I could probably spend a week's vacation there and not even cross the bridge.

 

Two people immediately listing San Diego has me very curious

 

San Diego is a lot of fun. Very underrated. Usually almost eerily perfect weather. Glad my sister moved back so I get to visit SD again instead of fucking Beeville, Texas lol

 

By the way, in case it needs to be said, Beeville, TX is not a top city to visit

 

lots of fun. We stayed primarily in the Gaslamp Quarter but, the food is incredible, the zoo/balboa park are right there and great to see, the whole area around Petco Park is great with bars and restaurants. and there's a bunch of breweries if that's something you like to seek out. not to mention that weather. chefs kiss.

 

I had a terrible time exploring New Orleans for two reasons - 1, there is absolutely NO indication that you shouldn't take a car onto bourbon street. 2, some dickhole put up a one way sign downtown going in the wrong direction

 

Born and raised in Texas, spent plenty of time in various areas of the state, and I still had to google it and that tells me all I need to know

 

Always been curious. Only CA cities I've been to are Oakland, Alameda, and Weed

 

i maintain that NOLA is my favorite city i've ever visited and, that being said, i could never visit bourbon street again and be completely content with every future trip down there lol

 

This all sounds like something that would specifically happen to you

 

Given that your ex is one move away from establishing her own town, this shocks and scares me

 

The street right next to bourbon street was DEAD to. Like nothing at all and then we made a turn and suddenly hundreds of people everywhere

 

I really want to go back. I loved looking around and had good food but was only there for one day.

 

The real question is what is the most Eli Apple-like city

 

Jacksonville

I grew up going to NOLA cause my moms whole family is there and I’ve only ever been to Bourbon street once when my lawyer aunt and lawyer uncle literally rented a couple spots on Bourbon Street for their wedding reception

you go not need to go there for the New Orleans experience. Much of the French Quarter and the neighboring Marigny and 7th ward offer more of the same

 

nah people in Jax love New Orleans haha

it’s stupid they don’t just fuckin move to NOLA / Asheville / Nashville / Atlanta considering how much everyone in Jax visits and idolizes those places lol
