So much of the NFC is in total limbo

 

and honestly it could just be reshuffling of chairs on the Titanic for some teams depending where QB’s go. I love Wilson, but if he went to, let’s say, Minnesota, does that really change a whole lot? If Cousins goes to Carolina does that help them more than 1-2 games? Idk. Hopefully it’s a fun offseason.

 

Wilson to Minnesota is a contender and Cousins to Carolina is picking 10th instead of 6th

 

I wonder if there’s any chance Sean Payton goes to Dallas. Wasn’t he always talked about in rumors? And now Dallas has an early exit but a stacked offensive. Payton is a major upgrade over McCarthy and Payton has shit in New Orleans. Perfect time to flip (if that’s what Payton would want to do)

 

Last I’d heard he would take next year off then go to Dallas.

 

OT rules idea I saw suggested on reddit that I want to hate because of how different it is but I also kinda love for its simplicity:

Just keep playing the game until you have a winner.

If one team scores right at the end of regulation, they have to kick off. If instead one team has the ball they keep the ball at the same spot.


It does make comebacks harder because scoring at the end you never start with the ball in OT. I'm also not really sure if "gotta kick a 56 yarder to win it and if you miss you might not get the ball in OT" is better than "just continue your drive"

but it seems fairer than a coin toss. and will have an actual end (unless both teams are terrible and cannot score) unlike any sort of non-sudden death solution.
