i would EASILY rather live in Jersey than Alabama. Unless it’s a shitty part of Jersey vs a great part of Birmingham.

 

Nashville, Atlanta, New Orleans all driving distance.

Unfortunately that’s the problem you still gotta leave the state lol. I’ve enjoyed playing shows in Birmingham and being there for a REASON, Avondale / Mountain Brook neighborhoods are beautiful, but Birmingham is def not the city you visit “just because.”

not to mention I took an ex girlfriend on a trip out there for one of my tour dates on a Friday fuckin night and all the bars / clubs were dead, wtf. We found one very sketchily segregated bar that had country inside and hip hop outside and that’s about it. Which does sound on-brand for Alabama the state… but not for a major city of nearly 2 million people????

Curious about Quinn if Denver hires Gannon

 

I love the outskirts of B'ham quite a bit. It's just fucking beautiful up there. Huntsville is cool too and a 2 hour drive from Nashville. Like, I totally love the northern part of the state. Unfortunately, I live in the southern part on the eastern side of Mobile bay. I hate Mobile, AL as much as any city I've ever been to besides Newark, NJ. lol

Interesting how many of the HC candidates getting serious looks are on the defensive side of the ball this year (Quinn, Gannon, Eberflus, Joseph, Mayo, Frazier, technically Flores)

My hopeful scenario is Gannon and then retain/promote Pep to OC

 

I heard more “the pats should trade Mac for Watson” talk than I’d care for.

 

But they are all like 3+ hour drives (and thats before touching traffic in Atlanta). 3 hours outta Met Life I can be in Boston or DC and see a whole lot of humanity in between.

Dont get me wrong, Jersey blows. But the deep south is an unlivable nightmare. Closest Ive felt to dying was Jackson, Mississippi

 

why do you want Gannon?

 

From everything I've read and absorbed he's got a diverse background between scouting and coaching, is a good communicator/has leadership qualities, plus he's only 39 and this roster is about to get a whole lot younger

And unless he wants his own OC in here, it may mean retaining Pep to allow some continuity with Mills to see what he really has going into a full offseason and next season

technically he is still being paid by the Dolphins so I believe technically he is still "employed" by them

but I Think if he gets another job then they dont have to pay him anymore...I could be wrong there though. So they wouldnt deny an interview.
