Great point, my only argument there is, how many games do you think Wilson is worth over Trubisky / Foles? Two?

Give Foley Fatukasi and John Franklin-Myers the respect they deserve!

I think I disagree because the Bears as currently constructed aren’t a black hole at 18 of the 22 positions, but even if that’s true, the Bears just went 8-8 and snuck into the playoffs. I wouldn’t call a team who adds an elite QB to elevate themselves to that level a win-now team

both of them should transition pretty decently to the new scheme too, yeah? It’s not like Henry Anderson and the majority of that LB core who have a one way ticket out the door?

Seahawks are kind of perfectly suited to hit the reset button though (Jamal Adams trade aside...). Dunlap and Duane Brown are huge cap savings if they cut them. They can trade Lockett to a team that wanted Robinson or Godwin but didnt get them.

I was talking to Swoos about this earlier. I’d agree if not for that Adams trade. It feels like a really really hard pill to swallow to voluntarily bottom out in a year where you don’t own your own first rounder and you’re also not cleaning house on the coaching staff/front office.

JFM will play DE and Foley will be more of a rotational nose, but they are locks to play a ton in the new scheme.

The only LB coming back for sure is CJ Mosley, and who knows how that will turn out...

Really hoping Saleh and his guys go after some athletic LBs.

Yeah, I agree, though, I gotta imagine Miami is just as happy to offer up for Wilson what they would for Watson, so, if you can walk away with Tua, #3, a replacement for the 2022 pick you traded, and then move Lockett...hell, maybe even in the same deal and grab a 2nd from the Dolphins.

Like, the Seahawks are surely re-signing Adams after his 5th year option...but, beyond that they have Bobby Wagner and Wilson as their only notable contracts in 2022. Its not often teams have so little tied beyond a single year where they can just bail out, get young, and start fresh

I’m very excited to see how they turn that roster over in the next 2 years - that defense should be a lot of fun to watch soon. Lots of really good opportunity for rookies and waiver guys to emerge in a big way

Trading back the Jamal Adams picks for Russell Wilson would be hilarious.

    Adams would probably retire.
