He's undeniably talented, and that's not a bad thing but it alone will only get you so far

 

I was telling Matt that if I was Arizona in that draft and Kyler said that he isn’t a big film watcher I’d have legitimately crossed him off my draft board because fuck that lol. I’m not spending #1 overall on a guy who isn’t putting the work in. I would’ve traded down and let someone else have him at that point & built the rest of the team to be solid instead

He has def helped the Cardinals become a winning team. There’s no denying his talent. But that’s a level of ego / baggage / immaturity I just wouldn’t want to deal with and I think it’s ultimately gonna hold them back from success in the playoffs. That’s a deal breaker that would legit make me move on and look towards future QB draft prospects instead even if I had #1 overall

 

Kliff Kingsbury is what's wrong with the Cardinals. He's bad.

Kyler's issues are definitely important to note but yeah Kliff is the main problem. Always has been.

I’ve always thought Brady’s tantrums were the most relatable thing about him haha. I used to yell at lineman and receivers on my favorite team through the tv when I was passionate about football. And I definitely would have thrown a tablet on every interception.

 

Kliff is definitely a bad coach but it’s also not entirely the head coach’s fault Murray thinks he’s Russell Wilson and tries to get away with awful pocket presence all the time

That’s more on Murray himself and his QB coach. He has atrocious pocket habits and relies on his athleticism and agility way too much and that’s why LAR’s line destroyed him

 

Being emotional over bad plays =/= sulking over adversity (re: the Brady/Kyler sideline comparison)

Imagine Tom Brady demanded a trade after like the 2005 season and you have Kyler

 

Kliff coached Mahomes and Mayfield to mediocre results just to watch them blow up elsewhere. It's REALLY hard for me to say Kliff has no influence on Kyler's play

It's a perfect storm of bad chemistry. Kyler has his issues and Kliff is the person with 0 chance of solving them

 

Thinking Kliff is "bad" is rock brain level thinking.

 

Maybe we’re being a little too hard on Murray based off one quote in an old article and a bad playoff game though to be fair. For all we know he watched a ton of film leading up to this game. He has been really good when healthy in general

 

Idk I've watched him like forever and everything lines up with all that

 

Kliff also doesn't win down the stretch, his record has shown that since college. He's stubborn and isn't willing to adjust.

 

Yup, it's probably a bad fit for winning. Kliff would do much better with a veteran at QB and Kyler needs someone to be the leader because it 'aint going to be him.

Kingsbury is potentially a solid offensive coordinator. He is not a good head coach. He never has been and he's done nothing with Arizona to prove that's changed.

His teams have always collapsed because he gets figured out by better coaching staffs.

 

I think we're being way too hard on him. He's 24 and was taken in the top 10 in two drafts for completely different sports. Of course he relies on his talent. It's worked until now. He's far from a finished product

 

No but there's so many actually bad coaches that calling a decent one "bad" is just dumb as fuck. There's quicker ways to admit your brain isn't capable of thinking beyond "Good" or "Bad" lol
