Here's a nice visual of all the players the Eagles currently have under contract and all the players who are some form of free agent

Truly highlights their desperate need for new safeties

  7. Ridley and Waddle would be a pretty nasty duo

Eagles wish list also includes bringing back the kelly green uniforms in some capacity and not using such shitty font for the numbers

Random thought that I will find the answer to on Wikipedia I’m sure but, remember when the Dolphins signed Jay Cutler for like $20M for one year to come out of retirement? What the fuck was that about? I’m assuming a last minute injury to their starter (Tannehill?) but the best they could think of was a retired Jay Cutler? Like I said, gonna Wikipedia that now to remember the details.

On a more serious note, has Ridley said anything about coming back? Kind of weird seeing his name tossed around as possibly being traded if he hasn’t said anything about coming back. Hope all is well with him.

It's because he was Gase's boy and they were basically desperate

Looking at Cutler's stats, kind of wild he stayed in the league that long. There was basically no season where he was even statistically "good". Even Bortles had that 4500yd, 35TD/18INT season...Cutler never had a 20+TD season without like 15INT as well, never had more than that single 4000+ yard season...and never played a full season after his 4th year in the league.

i just did a shallow deep dive of his Wikipedia page and saw he’s noted as “one of the 100 Greatest Bears Players of All Time” and I feel like someone should have told them that you don’t NEED to make the list 100 people if the list is going to include Jay Cutler lol

    The rivalry is back on

I read this as support that Bortles was done dirty by being discarded after his rookie deal, as opposed to that Cutler wasn’t an adequate enough QB :)

I’m now curious how many first round QB’s end up playing (actually playing) more seasons with a different team than who drafted them. Cutler being drafted 11th overall and only being in Denver for three years and yet being in Chicago for 8 seems wildly unusual.

Wentz and Goff maaaaaaay get added to that list but I doubt it since I don’t see them sticking with their current franchises for another 4 years.

I don’t think there are any right now. Tannehill feels like the only contender for that right now and he’d still need another 3 full seasons with Tennessee

Alex Smith is the only other I can think of in recent memory if you combine his KC and WAS time outdating his SF time
