I think it’s easy for people to just say that on the internet and expect no one to do the work to look it up

I am sure there have been other NFL games like that. I’m pretty sure the Saints beat the Colts 63-7 one time. But maybe this is the first time it’s happened in the playoffs*

 

how expensive is he? I heard Wentz + Ryan Kelly + future firsts for Wilson as a potential trade idea and that still feels too light but who knows

 

If you’re selling Russ what the hell do you want Wentz for. You’re in full rebuild mode lol

 

I don’t think you “want” him so much as the Colts insist on it and it’s a warm body at QB for a year until you find the long term solution, like Goff to DET

ditto for any other way the Colts may add an expensive QB

 

but isn’t that exactly what the Colts did to get Wentz and Rivers hahaha, why would other teams want to echo what you’re doing if the Colts haven’t even been successful doing it

 

because you have to start a QB even if you don’t have a good solution, idk?

in the unlikely event that Wilson actually forces his way out, there’s no way Pete Carroll stays and signs off on starting Jacob Eason en route to going 2-15 and getting fired

 

I’d literally be more interested in starting Ehlinger and at least seeing if there’s anything there

 

(removing the inevitability of Ehlinger actually being a franchise QB)

as a fan, I agree. The ceiling is that you found the QB and the much more likely floor is that you’re in position to draft the actual future QB or have a better pick to trade for them

as a powerful HC with a lot of sway in front office decisions or a GM potentially on the hot seat, 9-8 with Wentz in the year after losing a franchise QB >>> 3-14 with a revolving door of nothing at QB because it means you don’t lose your job lol

 

The only way anyone would trade for Wentz and that contract should be like the Goff trade, you need to be actually getting picks.
