This is my belief as well. It’s really unfortunate, but the Panthers have already been linked to him numerous times and still need a QB. That organization is desperate to win and, from what I’ve heard, get fans interested in that team again.

I definitely agree that Ross wanted Watson too.

But I also agree that Flores was also pushing for it the most.

I don't trust the national guys with the Dolphins reporting for the most part. All the local beat guys have basically acknowledged that Flores was an arrogant asshole that was impossible to work with.

 

In a way, the dolphins are doing the right thing but not necessarily for the right reasons

they are doing the right thing by wanting to stick with Tua for 1 more year IMO, especially given the (lack of realistic) options this offseason. However, announcing it to the world is not what you should be doing BEFORE you hire a coach. Let the next coach make that decision.

Ideally, you strengthen the OLine and get a legit RB and give Tua 2022 to prove it. If he doesn't improve, you've got 2 firsts in 2023 to get your guy.
