This all stems from Watson, he would be gone if not for his allegations

Deshaun has burned a lot of bridges here, as a fan of the team I just can not see it happening, nor should it

 

He’d also be gone if the organization wasn’t exploiting the situation for draft picks

Tua led Dolphins beating a Flores and Watson Texans team... eliminating them for a playoff spot... and then Flores getting fired after the game.

That would be one of my three wishes if I found a magic lamp.

 

I think that’s a very reasonable take and that’s exactly the point of that post!

It is simultaneously true that Wentz’s performance is roughly at the level of a league average QB, and also that having a lot of those guys, including Hurts, on a rookie deal is more appealing than Wentz on his current deal. Factor in getting a first to make that swap and that the Wentz/Philly relationship self-destructed, and it did at the time and still does make a ton of sense for the Eagles!

I don’t really agree with the “Wentz is one of the worst QBs in the league and didn’t bounce back under Reich” or “trading for Wentz was an indefensible mistake” type takes, but I also don’t think anyone, Colts included, particularly likes him as a starting QB option in 2022

 

Removing Watson from the league would do such good things for all of us so we never have to talk about that piece of shit again.

Which means he’s going to be starting on some team Week 1 next week and fuck that

Texans hired Culley to handle to dirty shit and the tank season because they knew he wasn't a long-term answer and then booted his ass despite him actually overachieving and helping develop their rookie QB. It's kinda shitty.

 

Hey wait I get something if someone hires Mayo right?

 

On the one hand, it sucks

On the other hand, he got what I assume is a giant raise and a guaranteed extra year of pay at that rate to be the bridge coach to that team having a semblance of a football team and that’s still a pretty nice deal

whats amazing about it is culley got more out of his team that was expected to be the worst team in the league than joe judge got out of his team that spent 70m+ because they thought they could make the playoffs in fa lol

 

i noticed after that one game where steve belichek did that thing w his tongue they just stopped showing him on broadcasts lol. gonna be weird if he ever gets a hc job
