How much of that had to do with the defenses he played during that stretch though?

 

I'm sure it plays a factor, sure...but all the QBs in the division got to play those defenses for the most part

but he was good against CAR and NYG who have decent to good pass defenses

 

I appreciate that we basically have the same talk tracks for our team’s respective QBs. Everything above describes Wentz to a T

would love if we could lure Eberflus as DC with money, but that’s a downgrade for him otherwise… realistically Fangio and Zimmer are the best options

 

He played the Jets twice. I wish Zach Wilson got to play against the Jets defense twice.

 

I hated having to play against Flores' Miami secondary. Won't miss that.

 

I don’t like Eberflus in Jacksonville in general tbh (and probably Mike Zimmer for similar reasons) — Josh Allen and K’Lavon Chaisson are awkward fits in his IND scheme (which I guess is moot if you grab someone like Hutchinson at #1 overall) — so you’re basically asking either the coach or the personnel to bend for the others’ strength

Fangio sounds like a great fit that I strongly hope you don’t pursue though :)

 

oh yeah isnt Eberflus a 4-3 guy

we have fine personnel for that but they’re way more suited to 3-4

I think the Chaisson problem is that Chaisson isn’t very good and we should’ve took Justin Jefferson. Wish I was GM for draft day 2020 lol

Yes a little, I echo that it’s more about appearances and his play in NFCCG. But I mean he’s still arguably top 5 all time so it’s hard to call it a disappointment.
The biggest disappointment is him showing his ass this past year.

 

This is the 7th or 8th candidate the Bears have requested to interview, vs only 4 when they hired Pace. There seems to be some optimism about the candidates from the media but it’s the Bears so

I can’t imagine I’d have to reckon with this but I honestly don’t even want Rodgers in Pittsburgh anymore.

maybe I’m spoiled or naive or both, but I’d rather be mediocre with a random stopgap than good with another QB that hard to stomach again

 

remember when Joe Philbin got a head coaching job because of Rodgers

I feel like people consider his open anti-vax stuff as just dumb without considering how dangerous its been. He’s become a spokesperson for right wing anti-vax stuff (even though he does the joe rogan thing and says he’s not right or left) and it’s hard to quantify how much his platform has caused people to at least delay getting the vaccine during a huge surge. I couldn’t root for him.

 

However, I remember I hated when the Eagles signed Vick and then eventually he at least said the right things in taking responsibility and I ended up rooting for him. Looking back though I’m disappointed about that, what he did he shouldn’t have been back in the league. So I guess saying the right things and playing well goes a long way.

 

Rogers fits in with the racist, white trash Lets Go Brandon crowd so he belongs in Northern Wisconsin.
