I started this off-season "overrating" Kyle Pitts but shit at this point the media might laugh at me for "underrating" him.

 

I think Pitts is a top 10 talent in the draft no question. I still have him as the fourth best receiver.

 

18 mill is too much for Thuney. It sucks they don't break out the offensive line by tackle, guard, and center but oh well. Go protect the young king in Cincy.

They’re not treating him any differently than Polamalu, and Ben deserves less than him.

 

Pittsburgh, Hard Nose, Yinz all that but come on Ben is higher on the list than Troy.

I could see him getting taken in the teens but top 10 is a bit of a reach imo

 

I’m not saying Troy was a better player or played a more important position . But Troy was a more deserving person.

 

Yeah totally agreed but if Steelers fans were willing to look beyond MULTIPLE RAPES and support the team with him on it when it was more beneficial for them only to turn around and say he's not deserving of the same respect as Troy is just big sus to me.

 

Only a bit though. I mean if a team wants to reach for a really good receiving TE I’m not gonna hate em for it. He does have insane jump ball and red zone separation skills. My only question is just. How much can you actually get him on the field early on?

I believe he can learn to block but I believe that takes time and he might be a liability in some respects until then

I personally think that’s a false dichotomy. it’s perfectly okay to acknowledge that Polamalu didn’t have scandals attached and prefer him as a player because of it.. not having boycotted the team doesn’t mean they can’t still acknowledge and spurn the reality that Ben is a rapist

 

I couldn't root for his success.

 

I feel like they used to differentiate that; but it leads to issues like the TE/WR discussion.

Also, with the franchise tags being low on WR/RBs compared to the top end, feels like Allen Robinson and Golladay are gonna be in the "we want our compensatory pick in a trade this year" kind of category where they get tagged and traded.

I also wouldnt be surprised to see a bunch of transition tags on RBs (Jones, Carson, Lindsay, etc)

 

I think they still do break it out for TE and WR, the issue occurred when the Saints used what's his face as a WR a loooooot but claimed him as a TE. Similar thing happened with the Seahawks. But with an offensive lineman, very few move around on the line. I would bet >90% of Thuney's snap are at Guard.
