Dallas sent a shit ton of picks to move to #4 and draft Fields lol then I used some of the picks to move back into the first. Joe Brady would need to change his pants with this one.

No chance Wilson survives to 11 but had to go up and get him if he's just sitting there.

Is trey lance similar to darnold?

  9. uuu

    Trusted

More on the Tannehill side of that spectrum. Very athletic but would rather throw than run. I don't know if Darnold is in that tier of athleticism.

  10. Yeah Darnold is 1000000 percent not as athletic as Trey.

This was my "be realistic, you're not getting Zach Wilson" draft.

Nice because you hate the Patriots or Nice because this would help them lol

Waddle was the obvious pick, so too was Mac Jones. From there I went Edge because they have no pass rush right now, Ford to replace Chung and continue to add some youth in the secondary and Chartarius because he's fast and we have zero speed on offense.

  14. It's a nice draft

  16. Rounds 5-7 should be BPA. No exceptions ever.

*BPA Unless you haven't taken a QB yet. I'm kinda on team take a QB every year.

    The rivalry is back on

Nah, rounds 5-7 are “take a flier on unpolished guys with traits or guys who fill a very specific niche on your team with room to grow into more (like kick returner, special teams gunner, etc)”

  19. Nah, BPA. Always. Don't overthink it. An elite RB2 will forever do more for you than a bad CB4.

  20. Though I don't disagree with the second part - you don't draft depth returners, you draft them to put in some time so in that regard yeah, draft for need there.

  21. Like could you imagine if the Panthers went BPA in Round 5 in 2017 instead of drafting a guy who was cut before his rookie contract ended? CMC + Aaron Jones would be unstoppable.

Was Aaron Jones “BPA”? I do not remember him from that draft at all, and RB22 was the highest I found him on any of the 4 lists I found searching for draft rankings. I do remember Jeremy McNichols being a big “I can’t believe he fell that far” RB from that class and he went 10 picks before Jones and did not pan out.

Regardless, it’s hard to talk about in the abstract because hopefully you’re taking one of the (if not your #1) highest ranked players on your draft board (BPA) but are also factoring in how they can make your team and contribute in some tangible way in year 1. Near the end of day 3, when you’re looking at back-of-the-roster guys as opposed to day 1 starters and higher likelihood franchise players, I’d more heavily value roster fit and needs.

Otherwise, there’s maybe 1 slot on an NFL roster you can feasibly dedicate to a non-QB who is a healthy scratch for most games, so you can’t just take BPA in a vacuum at every single pick unless you think you can trade excess at one position for a need at another during the preseason or you feel comfortable cutting someone and hoping you can squeeze them on the practice squad.

Umm idk, I kind of think wilson would be awful on the jets and they should just take sewell or bluff that they want whichever qb the panthers do to try and trade down.
