nba salary cap stuff always confuses me. If we have enough cap to take him do we have to send back another bigger contract?

 

well, you can't exceed the cap bringing him in. so you'll have to send out enough to stay under. i think bringing in his 18m you'd have to send like 14m out, of which there aren't a ton of pieces the hornets should obviously add to get up to that. like, packaging PJ, Miles and the Martins (not that you should talent-wise, purely talking $$) together wouldn't get the money there. and then cody is expiring so you'd have to resign him to trade him, which is possible certainly. but then there are no contracts between hayward/terry/cody and lamelo and the younger dudes. so it basically has to be one of those three dudes

Yeah….part of me says cash in on Rozier while he is at peak value. But he is so damn fun late in games I don’t wanna see him go. I think Rozier for Myles with maybe some throw away picks going to Indiana would probably be realistic. It’d mean Graham coming back for sure (he will either way imo). But we’d have to get lucky in the draft to replace Rozier.
