From what I gather it does account for comparing against your position so yeah I'm sure he's got a little extra boost

It adjusts based on position. So, yes, Jeter was helped in that stat by being kept at a position that he had no right playing

Edit: 15% of that comes from playing SS which is honestly a bit less than I thought
