The Royals outfield of Benintendi, Frazier and whoever should be fun next year.

Clint frazier was the first prospect I ever traded for in my dynasty league. He was really good when it mattered and I hope the injuries don’t mean he has to retire.

Watching Wade at bats was crazy because pitchers would just pump fastballs over the plate knowing that, even if he got a hold of it, the result would be a fly out to center

Absolutely not. Have you seen his defensive numbers there recently? JDD can at least hit while playing putrid defense. And Dom is family

755 LF innings, -11 DRS for Frazier
663 LF innings, -9 DRS for Davis

Frazier is better than his numbers cause the concussion shit clearly fucked him up in the field, but obviously his health is a big question.

Someone will definitely take a flier on him though if his health is cleared. Wouldn't shock me if the Mets did lol

Let's rebuild. Unless there's some trades coming out way, I got no confidence in the Mets in 2022

I swear the Cards are incapable of acquiring actual pitching talent in the FA market or trades. A true Achilles heel.

That is way too much money to give him too, ugh. Genuinely think we got a new Leake situation on our hands.

150 innings of 115 ERA+ is solid, will be made better by an elite defense

prediction for Matz was 3 yr / 27m

4/44 is not significantly different or a significant drain on resources

  21. Matz is fine. He'd probably have a spot in every rotation in baseball. The problem right now is that he's our #2-3 starter depending on whether Waino can continue to defy the aging curve or not. That's not Matz's fault, we just need more help.

And I don't love the years but meh he's only 30 and $11M/yr is fine for a guy like him

Ben Clemens at Fangraphs had Matz at 3/42
Fangraphs readers who participated in polling had him at 3/38

this is a fine deal lol

  24. I think a lot of the Cards fans mad about this are forgetting what it's like to have a little extra budget. This won't be our only move. This is what the offseason can look like when you're not paying Matt Carpenter $26M to be a potato.
