The main problem is at the top starting with the owner and the front office.

I mean yeah, but his lineups suuuuck. My only hope is that the bullpen is kinda Boone-proof now if they keep it all together. It was a mess most of the year but by the end it really solidified.

 

ownership and Cashman aren't going anywhere though so, that may be the larger problem.

 

I think the concern with Boone is that he’s really not a good in game manager, seems like the game speeds up on him and he’s not thinking two steps ahead, he’s always playing catch up. Plus managing in the regular season vs managing in the post season are too different animals. Can you see Boone managing like Alex Cora or Kevin Cash, for example, does? He hasn’t shown it yet.

Still can't believe we beat the fucking rays. Don't even care that today and the rest of week at work is gonna be complete shit. If the white Sox could just force a game 5 to let our pitchers rest a couple extra days

 

It is. It’s clear ownership is more concerned with making money than winning (which is fine because it’s a business to them after all).

Cashman is a problem too. The rosters he has been put to together the last few years have been poorly constructed. Bringing in injury prone guys and when they get injured acting shocked it happened, not having depth on the big league roster, prospects not panning out, young players going backwards in development.

I feel like other teams evolve with the way the game is changing and make the adjustments but the Yankees just stand pat.

 

Yeah definitely want the White Sox/Astros series to go 5.

I still can’t believe we made the playoffs let alone gotten this far and by beating TB.
