As bad as Gary was last year it's still wild that he's likely gonna be the 9th place hitter

 

every year me and my brother pick 8 teams each for MLB over/under win totals. What do you think?
A's Over 86.5
Miami Over 71.5
Cubs Over 78.5
Dbacks Over 74.5

Twins Under 88.5
Rays Under 85.5
Giants Under 75.5
Rangers Under 68.5

(Padres over 94.5, Royals over 73.5//Astros under 87.5) were considered too but not chosen by me

 

So I don't really do much betting so this is a pure baseball take, Idk if there's additional strategy to these things

Dbacks over and Rays under both seem suspect to me, but especially the Rays pick. I'd take that Royals over instead of either of those two if it were me. Others mostly seen fine. Cubs over is probably your strongest pick there, or maybe Rangers under (sorry Colby)

Edit: ohh I actually like the Miami over pick most of all. Even as strong as that division is gonna be I don't think Miami loses 90 games

eh there's strategy but for this its mostly fun ($5 per team). The Rays pick is purely i'm sick and tired of their shit with not-resigning players haha. But i think the blue jays take a big step and the yanks are gonna be great.

My first instinct for MIami was "last year was a fluke now that it's a full year they're gonna suck again"...but i looked at the marlins roster. It's not bad. Compared to some of these other shit teams. They actually have real major league players.

marlins' great young arms in their rotation will keep them from sucking too much at the very least

 

remember when rich hill threw 9 no hit innings, went out for the 10th and gave up a walk off bomb

im so excited!!! it's a real season. real length. normal rules. normal amount of playoff teams. it's as real as it's gonna get and i couldn't be more pumped

I wonder which relatively unknown reliever is gonna be the one to step up (or be acquired by the Rays) and put an all star season together.
