Mini-series are tv shows idc - they are literally broken up into episodes.

Also The Beatles: Get Back... it's a tv show.

The Memoria release strategy is frustrating enough, but there isn't even a list of where it is going. It took a long time to figure out it goes to Chicago next, but that is it.

  9. Great year for movies. So many worth mentioning, and a handful I still haven't seen yet (Memoria and Licorice Pizza are the two that I thought might make my list). The one that I'll praise briefly is Nine Days, which I haven't seen many people talk about. I honestly wasn't sure how I felt about it through the first half of the movie, but by the end I was very moved. A quiet exploration of what it means to be human, anchored by a great performance from Winston Duke (good work from Benedict Wong, Zazie Beetz, and Bill Skarsgård as well).

    1. Dune
    2. Bo Burnham: Inside
    3. Nine Days
    4. Found
    5. The Suicide Squad
    6. 14 Peaks
    7. The Mitchells vs The Machines
    8. Zack Snyder's Justice League
    9. Derek DelGaudio’s In & of Itself
    10. Spider-Man: No Way Home
    11. The Matrix Resurrections
    12. The French Dispatch
    13. The Green Knight
    14. Caveat
    15. Saint Maud

So much good TV this year. Invincible is maybe a little too high because it feels like the most difficult to explain in the era of superhero fatigue. Even so, it felt fresh and subversive with its take on the genre, and I had a blast with it. The Underground Railroad feels like the easiest to praise, and yet it's one of the least seen shows on my list. I'll echo everyone else who has said it's incredible. Masterful work from Barry Jenkins and company.

    1. I Think You Should Leave [S2]
    2. Invincible [S1]
    3. The Underground Railroad
    4. How To With John Wilson [S2]
    5. Dave [S2]
    6. Rick and Morty [S5]
    7. Hacks [S1]
    8. Scenes From A Marriage
    9. Ted Lasso [S2]
    10. Last Chance U (ELAC)

Others worth mentioning: Dopesick, Squid Game, The Shrink Next Door, Loki, Only Murders In The Building, Love on the Spectrum, Mare of Eastown, Betty, The Chestnut Man, Reservation Dogs.

Finished up Wheel of Fortune and Fantasy. The first story is fine, the second was very good, but the third was absolutely wonderful.

Reverse Shot's list finally comes out tomorrow.

It didn't get the coverage of Days or Drive My Car, but Beginning is a great foreign film that more people should see. Plus, it is the debut film of a female director, so you can support diversity as well. It is on MUBI.
