My first show back was Limp Bizkit. 7/15/21 - Festival of the Lakes - Hammond, IN

Overall enjoyable show. Free besides $30 parking split among four people. They played all the hits minus their Faith cover. Got the wind knocked out of me in the mosh pit on Break Stuff and have been having chest pain since so hoping I didn't goof up my ribs. More people wearing backwards red hats to match Fred than I thought would be.

How's gas monkey bar and grill?

I was considering driving up from Austin to see nfg there

 

It rules. They have an indoor and outdoor stage, but 90% of the shows are outside. It's a big patio out back of a restaurant basically. Pretty intimate spot with good views from just about anywhere. If you don't want to stand/be in the pit, get a VIP ticket and get there early. This will get you balcony, but the seating up there is first come first serve. If you get there in time to get a table on the railing, you're in really good shape.

But even down on the floor with GA is a great time. One of my favorite venues in Dallas.

 

1. Eli Young Band - Frontier City, OKC

We went up to OKC to do some furniture shopping and I saw that they were playing at the local amusement park. THeyre a Six Flags park so we got in for free with our season passes... we know about 6 of his songs, and it was... really flat as far as the audience and his show goes. He even commented on how quiet the crowd was a number of times. Was still nice seeing a show for the first time in well over a year.

 

Went to my first regular type of show last night at Cleveland’s “Wonderstruck”. Today I will be there again today. After a slew of Hotel related issues I arrived later in the day, saw Tate McRae, Lennon Stella, Third Eye Blind, and Walk The Moon… not a bad first regular show back!!! Today I’m pretty excited for KennyHoopla, Dayglow, AJR, and Portugal. The Man.

 

Went to sad summer last night and today went to a radio show that had the offspring and the maine

 

First show back post-pandemic was Spanish Love Songs/Descendents/Rise Against(we didn't stay for them) at the Mann in Philly, and it felt great to get back. Both bands were great.

 

saw Alex G last night in Pioneertown. sick vibe.

 

Saw Rise Against in Irvine. They were fucking amazing. I love the new album and it was great to hear these songs live. Descendents and Menzingers also kicked ass. Haven't had this much fun at a show in a long time.

 

Went to Foo Fighters last night at the Forum. Seriously these guys are like the best live band out there. First show I had to show my vax card at.

 

So far lolla and tonight is rise against. I have a bunch next month If everything goes to plan

 

Went to Coheed/The Used last night

 

Saw The Ghost Inside and Every Time I Die Saturday night and it was my first show back in 539 days and I nearly cried several times.
