With the top 5 QBs all gone (I def was gonna trade to 15 for Lance if he didn’t go at 14)... we do the next best thing and beef up that WR room for Andy Dalton (and a future QB).

Regardless whether they actually extend ARob this year or simply let his franchise tag run out, this team needs another receiver. Bateman’s not getting as much hype as the top 3 WRs but he has a scary skillet in his own right. He’s an incredibly physical and sudden route runner, kinda guy that can beat really good press coverage and get open by whatever means necessary.

he complements ARob and Anthony Miller perfectly. Kind of in between their skill sets. If the Bears keep that quality defense together, Dalton throwing to ARob and Bateman is actually something I could see working fairly well short-term even though the goal remains to upgrade at QB.

Not giving you shit, just my opinion - if I was Miami I def wouldn’t have passed on Bateman at 18 to move up in the third round. WR was the worst part of your team last year (aside from QB, which makes sense cause it was a rookie throwing to shitty WR). Hell yes I would take Kyle Pitts AND Rashod Bateman in round one for Tu’a and not look back

 

oh I know...Bateman was not my #1 choice there though

Yeah it’s a good receiver class.

For the Jags I definitely want Darrisaw or Barmore to fall within range of us. Those are probably my top targets for them but it’d have to be a best case scenario. I personally don’t think Darrisaw is falling out of the top 15 and lots of teams from the Patriots on could take Barmore ahead of us as well

 

Washington and Indy are currently desperate for a LT so yeah, a trade would be necessary
