When you hit a mothafucka, you hit that mothafucka Prestigious

    Bears:
    1) Rashod Bateman, WR
    2) Kellen Mond, QB
    3) Tay Gowan, CB
    4) (no fourth round pick)
    5) James Hudson, T

    Ravens:
    1) Christian Barmore, DE/DT, Alabama
    2) Brady Christensen, T, BYU
    3) Jordan Smith, EDGE, UAB
    3) Alim McNeil, DT/NT, NC State
    4) Tylan Wallace, WR, Oklahoma State
    5) Robert Jones, G, Middle Tennessee
    5) Rashad Weaver, EDGE, Pittsburgh

+ traded Orlando Brown Jr for
    -2022 1st
    -2022 3rd
-better draft position to add Jordan Smith & Tylan Wallace

Bears draft kinda chased needs. I was hamstrung by needing four positions that are all drafted at premium spots + not having the draft capital to move around. They don't have a lot of options considering their needs are QB, CB, T, and WR; they pick 20th; and they don't even have their original 7 draft picks so it's pretty hard to trade. Bateman + Mond is about as good as they can do.

Ravens draft is a god damn A+ though - like maybe I could've prioritized IOL more, but I rebuilt their defensive trenches at a time when they got rid of both starting edge rushers AND their whole IDL is old, so that makes up for it.

  9. The only thing I wish you did with the Ravens that you didn’t is come away with one of the upper end WRs. The Ravens need a little more help there than just a new 4th rounder.

    Yeah, I was considering

    1) They just signed Sammy Watkins
    2) The value wasn't really there at any of the Ravens picks compared to other positions. Tylan Wallace was the first time all draft I felt a receiver "fell to me." Imo he's a third round talent
    3) Most the top end receivers in this draft are undersized, which I didn't want for a team that already spent a first on Marquise Brown

And then on top of that, Barmore & Christensen were both great value at just-as-big positions of need so I did that instead

Maybe Dynami Brown in the second round would've been good value but then I have no quality replacement for Orlando Brown Jr., so Christensen was necessary there.

I just cant get over Barmore, Jordan Smith, Alim McNeil, AND Rashad Weaver in one draft. Four quality players / probable future starters on the defensive front. That RULES for a 3-4 defense that needs to get younger, and to still get solid T and WR prospects on top of that, plus a traits/high potential small school IOL that could develop, is nuts.

This Ravens draft is both elite and realistic imo.
