Bears select Tay Gowan, CB, UCF.

Bears let Kyle Fuller go and replaced him with older Desmond Trufant. Time to add some upside to that CB room. Gowan has decent size, he’s fast, he can do Cover 3, press, or off-man. Not a lot of experience but a good “traits” prospect who doesn’t have any major scheme limitations. Let’s see if the Bears defensive talent and coaching can bring out the best in Gowan.

The Philadelphia Eagles select Robert Rochell, CB, Central Arkansas

Eagles fans will hate to see a small college player picked, but Rochell is a very good athlete who will be able to learn the ropes from Jonathan Gannon and Darius Slay

The Colts’ defense lives and dies by having speedy linebackers getting to the ball carrier quickly. Browning gives them yet another player to plug in with Leonard and Okereke and fills the void that losing Anthony Walker left in the defense. Plus, it’s not a Chris Ballard draft without going to the Ohio St well at least once

Pittsburgh Steelers select Michael Carter, RB, UNC




It really baffles me that most people seem to be group this RB class as Harris/ETN/Williams "and then a drop". Michael Carter absolutely belongs in the group at the top. He has a complete game and will make an impact day one. His field vision and lateral agility are so impressive. He cuts back in quick, sudden bursts and defenders out in space don't really have a chance. He also has underrated strength. He breaks tackles on a consistent basis. I think he was top 5 in the ACC in broken tackles during his college career. He's a superior receiving weapon to his teammate Williams. A true threat in the passing game.

This clip is a great example of how ridiculous his lateral movement is and how he sees the field. And I think he knows how quick he is because it's almost like he baits defenders into certain lanes before he bursts in a different direction. Just an incredibly fun player to watch and I think he'd be awesome in Pittsburgh.
