I actually don’t think pass rusher is a huge need after the Bud Dupree signing, however....Joe Tryon’s ceiling makes him an absolute steal at this pick. Tryon looks like he was chiseled from a rock. Dude is just a supreme athlete and it shows in his play. He wins with his burst at the snap and speed around the edge. From what I’ve read, the knock on him is more from a technical standpoint. I think these things can be taught and he won’t be rushed into a prominent role in Tennessee.

The Titans secondary has been shaky for a few years and I think building a deep and talented defensive front is an effective way to improve this weakness.

The Cowboys really struggled on defense last year. Their once dynamic duo at LB suddenly looked pedestrian, the secondary was constantly cooked...it was just an overall disaster. I think most of the blame can be put on how awful their two signings of Gerald McCoy and Dontari Poe were. They were bad in Carolina the season prior and then Dallas signed them and they were even worse. They drafted Neville Gallimore last year who I really like a lot. Nixon would be another interior defensive lineman for them develop. If the duo pans out I think you’ll see LVE and Jaylon Smith dominating again.
