I get that it’s been a long time that Meyer coached Florida... but that’s legitimately the last time northeast Florida has tasted any sort of sports championship (aside from golf.) To most home grown Jags fans, he will always be the guy who dominated NCAAF with the Gators and broke basically every SEC QB record with TIM TEBOW, lol

Was just a good marketing move to pick him up as coach even aside from the on field stuff

I legit really do wanna see Toney in Meyer’s offense. I actually was a UF fan in high school (before I knew anything about the Pouncey / Hernandez shit...) and I remember how he used Percy Harvin.

Toney isn’t gonna play runningback and break tackles like Harvin did, but he’s honestly a better player overall and he doesn’t get hurt like Harvin did either. He runs routes better and he’s way more shifty.

I am really bullish that Toney would be a lot like early Brandin Cooks in this offense and regardless if we were a good or bad team, he’d get 1000 yards one way or another (even including WR running plays.)

 

He was a prolific high school QB. He can play RB if you need him to. He just has way more value as a slot.

Harvin got run down due to workload.

The problem with taking Toney is we already have Laviska Shenault. Now, I'd LOVE both. But idk if we're gonna operate like that.

 

I'm pumped so far. I traded back 8 spots in the second and got Gilmore for my troubles.

 

If Goff sucks, our team is picking top 5 and we move on and draft a QB. Our defense isn’t going to be good next year. They aren’t going to carry us to 10-15th. We’re in a massive talent deficit and Goff is there to see if he could be worth his draft position/contract. If he isn’t, we move on. If he is, cool!

 

I’m gonna be a hypocrite and lose the trade on the draft value chart but I really don’t think the Colts will pick here and I do think they’ll pick up the 3 to replace the Wentz pick so you got it

oh man you kidding? I think that’s perfect haha. You never know whether you’re gonna get thunder or lightning over the middle. It’s Chark and Jones keeping their outside CB’s hands full...

and then them not knowing whether to put a slot CB / your best FS in man coverage on Toney, or to put a LB who can hit on Viska, or what. And then randomly both of them are on the field and it looks like a Toney reverse but actually Viska throws to Toney on a HB Pass or some shit.

With the 21st pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins select Rashod Bateman, WR, Minnesota



The Dolphins signed one of the best FA WRs in Will Fuller and used an earlier pick to nab top OT Penei Sewell and top RB Najee Harris. Now they add a dynamic WR to complete the offense.
