The New England Patriots have traded picks number 96 and 121 to the Chicago Bears for pick number 84.

With the 84th overall pick, the Patriots select Chazz Surratt, LB, North Carolina. So far, we've picked up a QB, WR, CB so the next obvious need is at LB. The Patriots were eaten alive by RBs last year, and also had a lot of trouble covering tight ends. The former QB Surratt adds value to this defense in a variety of ways on every down and now pairs well with a defense that features some young, athletic dogs. A defense of Winovich, Uche, Duggar, Newsome, Jackson and now Surratt is a reeeeeal nice young group for us.

This is also my third trade of the draft, but given the aggressive nature of the offseason, i'm on board with going to get our guys. Especially after missing out on a target like Moses who i love for the Patriots.
