I did fantasy hockey with a friends league for the first time last season and loved it so this year I joined a random second league but there they make you lock in your lineup for the week on Monday instead of doing it daily. Is that a normal thing? I kinda hate it.
They start Friday and Boston starts Saturday, idk if there are any other teams with late starts, but it seems a little bizarre that those two start so long after the opener
I thought the Ekholm deal was fine as well. Money is manageable and the term is short enough that they can pull the chute on it if the team still stinks in a year or too. I think trading him and Forsberg should have been the move, but what can ya do
I love Ekholm, but he's 31, and the Preds need to be getting younger. I love the man, always have, but he's not going to move the needle at all on their success as he continues to age. Poile has a problem with letting go. It's going to be weird when they pay Ekholm that much but either a) trade Forsberg at the deadline or b) let him walk.
So apparently I haven't paid much attention to the whole ESPN thing, and didn't realize nhl.tv is gone. Without cable, is an ESPN+ subscription now the only way to watch all the games (minus blackouts, I assume)? I don't want to deal with reddit-esque streams all the time, especially not having found a good way to watch them through Roku.
ESPN+ is the only way, yes. And for only a few bucks a month it’s a pretty easy sell. It’ll have blackout restrictions and I doubt the 72 Turner broadcast games will be on it.
Okay cool. Yeah, less than $6/month is totally fair, especially with a $10 rakuten rebate. I can use streams if I'm desperate for a blackout game, but prefer a real hub for it.
I've never used that. markky has all of the NFL, MLB, MMA, NBA stuff too, so I default there. Only thing I go out of my way to find is Euro soccer.
Immediately as I tuned into the Caps/Rangers game, Keith Jones gets a raging hard on over how much the Rangers are checking. The more things change...
