I'm really hoping the Sabres are calling on McCann. As much as I've turned into a completely passive fan, it would be such a smart move. With Karmanos and Ventura both coming from Pittsburgh to Buffalo the last couple months, the knowledge is there. I'd much rather they swing a deal like that than just stand pat and protect Rasmus Asplund (who I do like)

 

Lehner and Blackwood would be a nice tandem

I would guess we'd get a sweetener to take him?

 

After giving it entirely too much thought (like 15 mins tops), I feel confident in saying the Wings protected list will probably look like:

F: Larkin, Bertuzzi, Vrana, Fabbri, Erne, Rasmussen, Smith

D: Hronek, Cholowski, Lindstrom

G: Greiss

Which means Seattle’s pick will likely be one of Svechnikov, Namestikov, Hirose, or Stecher.

I’m fine with it.
