13 picks and we're at $17.5M for the cap lol. (i know there are a lot more picks and side deals and whatnot to go, i just find it funny how low it currently is)
Idk if there’s gonna be any trades tonight, I feel like we would’ve known by now. Probably will be some during the draft in a few days.
they have to pay Beauvillier, Sorokin, PElech, and Cizikas so that is really only like 6 or 7 million
Seattle has a lot of RFA's to get signed, but man... SOOOOOOO much cap space! gonna be a fun offseason
The only thing Seattle have going for them in year one is that their division is largely a dumpster fire
they've got 29 million in cap space, an entry draft and an off-season to make a bunch of moves. the team "as is" (which wouldn't be everyone i get that) scored 154 goals and 207 assists last year. not the worst for a 56-game regular season (i think a handful of teams scored between 120-150 goals last year). all we maybe know about this team right now is that they're fucking tall on defense. only a couple of truly left field picks from all the mocks i read but we'll see what comes next. sorry to bursts everyone's bubble, but i'm going to be an optimistic (but realistic) sports fan around here. i know that's not the usual for most of the sports threads around here
We all start out as optimists. By the time the 2026 thread rolls around, you'll be as jaded and dead-eyed as the rest of us.
