Igor being awesome is the big difference in this series. I mean, Canes are playing so poor themselves. It just doesn't help that when we get a chance Igor shuts it down.
I really hate the "principal point of contact" rule. It's a fast paced game and shit happens, but generally, if you can't avoid head contact then you're just a dipshit. All Trouba has to do is get a tiny bit lower and Jarvis is likely fine. I hope Maroon throws him off the top of MSG.
But why should he? The more dangerous hit goes unpunished and his team benefits. You're right the rule is broken but punish the owners, teams, and GMs...player fines and suspensions have done nothing.
Well yeah obviously negligible fines/minuscule suspension/automatic penalties won't be sufficient to curb the problem, my point was only that avoiding head contact is really easy if you're actively making an effort to do so. It was an anti-Trouba post more than anything.
Also, Rangers got a 3rd string goalie in round 1, and a 2nd (now 3rd) string goalie in round 2 please protect Vasy at all costs
Go Oilers or Avs I guess. Really don't want Tampa to win again. Not a big Rangers fan, but they'll probably get wrecked by Tampa anyway.
