I don’t agree with this. I know he walked into some older teams but he also developed Vrana & Burakovsky into NHLers and he saved the careers of defensemen who were on their way out of the league (Orlov, Pelech, Pulock). His issues are going to be in the playoffs because he’s made some real baffling roster decisions in the years where Washington didn’t make it, but he’s not the only coach with those problems.

He might not want to rebuild but I think Detroit is closer to being good than Winnipeg or Philly. New Jersey would make the most sense if they smarten up about Lindy.
