I'm always shocked that Gudas is on that Florida team, but I shouldn't be because it seems like everyone we lose becomes a stud.
Same system. Most guys are good at keeping themselves motivated through the regular season & they really haven't had to face much adversity or losing streaks yet. Big test will be in the playoffs with how TB goes into lockdown mode.
He's the guy the Leafs traded for Denis Malgin. Now I can already anticipate your next question: "what the fuck is a Denis Malgin?" Understandable that you would wonder this. Sadly the answer to that has eluded mankind for decades, if not centuries. Frankly, we may never know.
A Mason Marchment is what happens when the son of a dirtbag player decides to not be one themselves, but also has the same skill level as said dirtbag dad. The opposite of Brendan Lemieux, if you will
Man totally forgot how dirty Bryan marchmant was. Scary rabbit hole looking at his history. Kinda nice seeing that...him, tkachuks, domi, bertuzzi...they're all sorta shitty but nothing close To their respective fathers. Then theres lemieux
This whole thing got me thinking about comparing players to their dads who I remember playing and I can ALMOST make a complete grid, I just can't think of one whose dad was a complete plug and they're really good. Brendan Lemieux is obviously the one corner. Both generations dirty. Marchment is the dirty/not dirty. I don't know that Tie Domi was "dirty" as much as just an enforcer and Max is definitely way more skilled than he was. I thought about the Folignos but I really don't remember their dad playing, they do seem pretty similar to him though. Definitely making me feel old that I can even do this
what did they expect when they put these out I know they aren't really similar, but a quick glance and we all know what it looks like
tl:dr, basically: past 15 games: 6th best PP 3rd best PK 12th best xG% overall: 2.58 xG/60 at 5 on 5 2.55 actual goals/60 at 5 on 5 2.35 xG allowed/60 at 5 on 3.49 actual goals allowed/60 at 5 on 5 the team has more than 1 issue...but it starts and ends with getting reliable, consistent goaltending.
